Placing an Order

Any purchase from The DiveZone online shop will be governed by the following Terms & Conditions:

  1. All products are sold subject to availability.

  2. All orders submitted online are subject to acceptance by us, and an order may be declined either all or in part at our absolute discretion. In the event that any such order is declined, the payment submitted with the order will be refunded as soon as possible.

  3. The quantity, quality and description of any specifications for the products shall be those set out in the site but customers should be aware that the images appearing on the website are not always accurate. We reserve the right to correct errors and omissions in any price or other information without any liability. All pictures on our website are for graphic representation only and products shipped may differ slightly from images.

  4. It is our customers’ responsibility to ensure that they hold any relevant qualifications from a recognised training organisation before purchase.

  5. All advice or recommendations are followed entirely at our customers’ own risk.

  6. Certain products on the site may only be sold legally to persons over 18. In placing an order for any such goods customers represent and warrant that they are at least 18 years old.

  7. Prices displayed include VAT at the standard UK rate.

  8. Customers within the EU have the right to cancel any order within 7 days for a full refund as part of the Distance Selling Regulations. The DiveZone also offers a customer satisfaction guarantee for items shipped within the UK (see details below).

  9. By using The DiveZone website or submitting an online order, customers agree to accept these Terms & Conditions. These Terms and Conditions may be subject to modification by The DiveZone from time to time.

Payment

An order is accepted when we take payment from an acceptable credit/debit card or PayPal account. If there is a change which affects an order which has been placed and not yet accepted and dispatched, we will inform you and you may then choose to cancel the order without penalty. 

Our website prices will be displayed in pounds sterling and your payment card will be debited in pounds sterling. Your card provider may convert to the currency of your account.

Credit/Debit card and PayPal is the standard form of payment for online orders from The DiveZone. Any other form of payment may be subject to special terms. We accept payment from the following types of cards:

If items need to be credited back to your account then the full amount will be debited and then a credit processed afterwards. This may take a few days to come through.

All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption by the payment provider by PayPal Ltd. The Divezone do not have access to any card details.

PayPal aim to protect legitimate credit card owners from fraud and therefore will report to the necessary authorities any person attempting to use a card which they are not authorized to use or anything else we find suspicious.

Delivery Info/shipping & handling

Our simplified delivery service is as follows-

Delivery within the UK: We will aim to dispatch your order within 24 hours (or 48 hours for orders placed on a weekend) for all items that are kept in stock.

All orders will be sent via FedEX or Royal Mail First Class Recorded Mail Service free of charge.

If an item is out of stock, we will endeavour to dispatch it within 7 working days. If an order is likely to take longer than 7 working days to dispatch will we will inform you, you may then choose to cancel the order without penalty. 

Next Day/Couriered Delivery to the UK: We offer a next working day or couriered delivery service for items currently in stock and prices for this are available on request. This can include delivery on a Saturday. For further detail on price and availability simply email us and we will be happy to quote for your delivery needs.

Please note that orders must be placed on a Monday-Friday and be in by 3pm in order for the product to be delivered the next working day.

Any claim based on any defect in quality or condition of the products must be notified to us within 10 days of delivery after which it will be assumed you have accepted the goods.

Risk of damage to or loss of the product shall pass to you at the time they are delivered.

For UK couriered consignments we reserve the right to charge a GBP15 (£15) charge for redirection to address other then the delivery address specified in your original order if no one is available to take delivery.

If no delivery address is specified consignments will automatically be sent to the billing address.

Delivery out side the UK: Please email us for further information regarding delivery options and costs. For all deliveries outside the UK we will individually price the postal charge according to your delivery requirements and email you with the exact price. Further details on how to complete the order will be included in our email.

Please also note:

Batteries for life offer: All computer and watch sales that are marked as having ‘batteries for life’ are part of this offer. The Divezone will fit new batteries and pressure test the computer every time it is needed for the life of the computer.

Customers local to our Dive Centre should drop the computer/watch in for service each time the battery shows as low.

Customers not local to the dive centre should post the computer/watch to us along with a copy of the original invoice. We will change the battery, pressure test and post it back to you within 7 working days.

This offer only applies to the original purchaser of the computer only and cannot be passed on.

Guarantee

We hope our customers will be completely satisfied with any product purchased from The DiveZone, however if they wish to return an item to us we aim to make it as quick and convenient as possible.

Under the Distance Selling Regulations, customers within the EU may cancel their order by returning any item unused and in its original packaging for any reason up to 7 days from the day after delivery for a full refund.

In addition to this, The DiveZone offers to exchange or provide credit for any unwanted items dispatched in the UK and returned within 30 days from the date of dispatch. Please see returns procedure below.

Returns & Exchanges

If you wish to return or exchange an item, please email The Divezone at customerservices@thedivezone.co.uk to let us know.

Please note that to enable The DiveZone to issue a refund, exchange or credit, returned items must be unused, all labels and tags must not have been removed and the items must be returned in their original packaging in a saleable condition.

Please ensure that the delivery note enclosed with your order is returned with your parcel.

Items must be sent by an insured proof of delivery service, such as Royal Mail Special Delivery and goods must be adequately packaged to prevent any damage.

Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the items to us. All postage charges are non refundable unless the item was delivered damaged or defective or we sent the wrong items to you.

Please allow up to 30 days for refunds to be processed and credited to your card.

Faulty Goods/Warranty

If there is a defect in any of the products then we will replace the defective products free of charge or if our customers choose not to have a replacement they are entitled to a full refund of the price of the product (or a proportionate part of the price). Customers’ statutory rights are unaffected.

We want our customers to be confident that they have the full support of our technical team when making a purchase. Should our customers believe that any product they have purchased from us is faulty, we ask that they contact us immediately letting us know the problem, giving us as much detail as they can and one of our team will let them know of the best action to take.

If the item needs to be returned we will do everything to remedy the problem as quickly as possible (this will not affect our customers’ statutory rights). A replacement product will be issued at the discretion of the management/technician. Some items may need to be returned to the manufacturers as part of their warranty confirmation requirements, we will endeavour to make this process as smooth as possible. This includes fault during use, such as flooding.

Liability

All products supplied conform to all relevant British and European standards.

To the extent permitted by law, we shall not have any liability for the content of any other websites linking into this site.

We will use all all our power to ensure that the Site remains available at all times. However, we cannot guarantee that the Site will operate continuously or will be error free. We therefore cannot accept any liability for any failure or non-availability of the Site.

We do not accept, and hereby exclude to the fullest extent permissible under law, any liability for indirect or consequential loss or damage including, but not limited to, any loss of data, profit, revenue or business however caused. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall be construed as excluding or limiting liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

The DiveZone accepts no liability for any defect arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, negligence, abnormal use, failure to follow manufacturer's instructions, misuse or alteration of the goods.

It is our customers’ responsibility to ensure, before ordering, that the intended user will have the correct training, experience, and qualifications if required from a recognised training organisation, for using the ordered items.

Privacy Info

The DiveZone do not disclose buyers' information to third parties.

We are committed to protecting our customers’ privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about our customers lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, and according to the Which Web Trader Code of Conduct.

We will only collect information given at the time of ordering or registering. We confirm that we will not pass on any of our customers’ information to any other company. Customer contact details will be automatically added to our customer database. This will only ever be used by The DiveZone to send further offers or promotional items to our customers. If any of our customers do not wish us to send any further offers or promotional materials then please e-mail us at customerservices@thedivezone.co.uk.

Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of our customers’ shopping cart once they’ve selected an item and to store delivery addresses.
